DIY Birthday Gift

I made this little itty bitty chair for an American Girl Doll themed birthday party.

It turned out so cute.

Cost.....$3.30!

Rag Wreaths

I made this for Mothers Day. It's a bunch of my material scraps, tied around a wire coat hanger.

Caitlin helped, and would hold up a piece say, " this was a skirt you made me" or, " this was my pajamas". It was sweet of her to remember all the things mom has made for her.

I took a piece of wood and painted it with Chalk Board Paint, then attached it around the top of the hanger with floral wire.

It turned out to be so cute, I did another one for my friend who just had a baby girl.

Now Caitlin wants one for her room :)



The Loose Tooth

 Caitlin was eating lunch a few days ago and noticed a loose tooth!  She's been wiggling it every day!
 I made her a, "Tooth Pillow". It's a cute little place to put her tooth for when it comes out.

She's hoping to get a $1,000.00 from the tooth fairy!

{Beach Night}

It was a nice way to finish the weekend.

We went to the beach tonight.

It was breezy and a bit cold, but it didn't stop them from going in the water.

We flew kites and played in the sand.

(almost) Ready to start the week!                      

Pottery Barns and Mine...

Here is Pottery Barns $130.00 (a unit) bookcase.

That would be a total of $390.00 for this look. Yikes!

And here is the one I made for about $20.00.

 I didn't have the best light today to take the pictures, I even tried to manually lighten them. I just wanted to see it together and thought it looked pretty good so far!

I have been making a denim slip cover for the couch, maybe this will motivate me to get it done.

Dylan's bookshelf will be next. I'll try to take better pictures. :)

My Knock Off

I love this look...

Since the hefty price tag is not so lovely, I pulled out the big guns.

One down, two to go. I just have to sand it down and stain it.

Hopefully, I can get another one done and get them in the boys room. Cost me less than $20.00 to make. Happy :)

Caitlin's Birthday

My little Princess!

We celebrated Caitlin's birthday...Princess style :)

She got a Cinderella doll, princess phone, princess birthday book and a Barbie movie.

I made her the balloon tower and her felt crown the night before her big day. She loved both of them. I also made her little pink birthday sign in the first photo.

We didn't have a big party, just the family for dinner. Caitlin asked for mashed potatoes, I added green beans and a chicken for the rest of us :)

Then some pretty princess cupcakes.

She is the best little girl in the whole world!
