fun

I have been going through the house cleaning up and throwing away. The boys room especially. I found a bag that had books in it that a friend gave me. I found 2 books that have been so fun for the kids to use, one is making paper airplanes and the other a book of magic tricks. Dylan has been turning pennies into quarters all day long! We are going to be rich!! :)

I've been a little lazy getting around to post something. I guess it's hard to top beads, that was pretty exciting. :)
I've been de-cluttering my closets and trying to get the boys room in order. Looking better everyday.
The garden is going well, the tomatoes are looking good. Troy found something on the Internet on growing tomatoes from a bucket and hanging them on a post. So we are trying our own version. If it works out our whole garden could be growing upside down :)

Caitlin got the bead out of her ear(s) Thurs.. This was her sitting in the big chair. She was the best patient, never moved at all while they were poking in her ear.

So yesterday all I did was throw away anything that can be stuck up a child's nose or ear or whatever else they can find when your not around.

God keeps me busy with these little "situations" It's either the car or the kid or the microwave... I got a note one time on a post it that was of Maxine, and it said, "In a hundred years none of this will matter, it barely matters now." Not words of wisdom but it makes me smile :)

bead or bubble?

Everybody is getting in bed last night and Caitlin tells me that she has a bubble in her ear. Really? Yes, it hurts really bad. I know that it doesn't hurt because she doesn't even complain or rub her ears ever so I thought it must be water in it from her bath. So we all prayed for Caitlin's ear to feel better. I asked her if the bubble went in while she was taking her bath and she said ," NO, it's not a bubble.....it's a bead!" What do you mean ? She said, "my ring broke and smashed and all over and I put a bead in my ear." I started to think that I haven't seen the ring she got for Easter all day. I didn't remember any beads on it though. Hmmm, sit down Caitlin let me look in your ear. Yep, that's a bead!
All night long I had her sleep with that ear down hoping it would just fall out. I just kept thinking that the Easter ring did not have any beads on it. Then it hit me, her story was right.......about a month ago! She had this ring she wore that was really a doll bracelet, it was beads on a rubber band thing that broke and about 4 beads came off all over the floor. I picked them up and threw everything away......but the one she stuck in her ear!?
It's not a big bead and it's not blocking all her ear canal. I'm pretty sure she can hear.
What do I do now? I have raised 2 boys and not one thing was ever stuck in any part of their body. My little princess gets the job done in three years.
Right now she is dressed up as Cinderella and waltzing all over the house, she says she likes the bead in her ear.
sigh......

Easter 09

Well I wish I had some great pictures to post of Easter. It's hard to take pictures of moving kids, totally on a sugar high, at 6 a.m.with a digital camera, by the time it actually takes the picture they have moved. So I got about a dozen shots of the back of their head!
Still it was a great day. I thought I had it all together the night before. Clothes put out, shoes by the door, breakfast ready to put in the oven ( homemade cinnabons! ) But somehow it turned out to be a circus act. We got to church on time with a great seat that I had to leave half way through service because Caitlin was having a meltdown. I'm going to have to get the tape because I have no clue what the pastor said.
I did manage to get outside early in the morning and have some time to think about all Jesus did for me. I've had a song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3o3DiMVdOI in my head all week end. It just keeps me in line to what's important. Circus acts and all.

big girl room

I just put up Caitlin's name on her wall. She calls it her "word". It was over her crib, now she has her big girl room almost done. Her bed is the last to do........

Did you know that Easter is THIS Sunday.....
I just found that out.
Did you know that chicken grease drippings will cause ALOT of smoke in a toaster oven?
How about washing your towels with a new pair of denim jeans turns everything yucky blue?
Or not even putting in soap to a load of laundry, doesn't really get the clothes clean.
And a cup of pureed strawberries that you were going to use for pancake syrup, can fall out of the fridge and hit the windows 10 feet away.
Found that out the hard way.
One more...
Cooking cauliflower in the microwave for the kids dinner and forgetting it's in there till morning will really stink up the place!

I can't tell you where my mind is right now. I even forgot to go to a birthday party ( so sorry Janice'. ) I'm sure it will come back sooner or later. Pray that everyone survives in the family while mom has a small nervous breakdown. :)
