questions questions

My mind has been in a blur this last week.
I can't believe how many questions the kids can ask me in a single day?! You know I never noticed it before until Troy had pointed it out. I guess being home, he noticed it. Now I notice that every time I turn around somebody is asking me for something, wondering when we are going to to do something, what are we going to eat, when are we going to eat, do I have to eat all of that, what are we going to do next, when can we, and the most used.....Hey Mom, Know What..
Troy gets asked the question, " Where's Mom?" That's it, the only question, but he gets it all day long.
*Dylan just ran past me and asked me whats for lunch*
I need a.....
*Caitlin just asked to put the wigggles cd in*
I was saying, I need some coffee to wake up and get some things done.
*Dylan just asked if he could have pizza for lunch*
( I made them lemon poppy seed muffins for breakfast, so I don't think he's starving right now. )
* Troy just asked me if his antibiotic is supposed to make him tired*
* Dylan just came over and gave me a big hug.......and asked if I could make my homemade pizza. *
I'm laughing on the inside.....really, I am.

A new look

Ahhh, It feels good to update the blog every once in a while. This is the only place I have anymore where it's mine and mine alone. I love to design the background pages, kinda like scrapbooking on another level.
I have been able to post a lot more these days because Troy has been stuck in bed with a really bad infection and can't get to the computer. He is getting better, so I am thinking of changing the password and not telling him. :) j/k.....you don't think I would really do that do you?

Garden update

The garden is going good! The potatoes are starting to grow in the bucket, so it's time to cover it with a little dirt. We have aphids on the cucumbers but I have been squirting them with some dawn dish soap and every time I find a ladybug I put her on a leaf. I have started a pumpkin patch and I am keeping pictures of the progress on the side of the blog.

A few things I am thankful for.......
1. Kids helped me clean up the house tonight before bed, looks great!
2. HOT shower!

Mom: Caitlin, are we best friends?
Caitlin: ( with a wrinkled up nose and eyes rolled ) NO!
Mom: Why not?
Caitlin: cuz you da mom!

Caitlin: OUCH!
Dawson: Sorry
Mom: what happened?
Caitlin: He touched my curly hair!

Caitlin: ( memorizing her scripture ) God made the heaven and the erf.
Mom: earth
Caitlin: erf
Mom: say eeerrrttthhh
Caitlin: eeeerrrffth

Mom: Caitlin you want some noodles?
Caitlin: Yes please, noodles and salt
Mom: You want noodles and sauce?
Caitlin: No, salt, say ssss.......alllllll.....t

Dylan is S.E.V.E.N

My, I don't know where the time goes!? Dylan has had himself another birthday and this one is the 7th!

He had a great day, got lots of cash and gifts, homemade cake and ice cream and even splurged on Papa Johns pizza. He is playing with all his stuff right now and I don't plan on hearing from him for hours!!

The worst day ever!

Well I had the worlds worst thing that could happen, happen.
I went to Publix the other day with Caitlin. I was pushing her in the cart when this lady walking up to us asked me if I was Caitlin's GRANDMOTHER!!! WHAT?!
Hmmmm. I said noooooo, she's my daughter. She went off talking about her grand kids but to be honest I never heard a word she said, I just kept nodding my head and smiling.
Her Grandmother! Her Grandmother?!? URGG! She could have at least asked me if I was her mother, even if she was thinking I was the granny, then if I was, I would have felt good about myself. But being asked if I was the grandmother, well, I'm really upset!!
I walked away from the lady and looked at Caitlin and she said, "I'm not your granddaughter!!"
I wonder if the lady knew by the look on my face that I was shocked.
I still am.....I need some serious chocolate......

Dylan's Tooth

I am so glad I made the tooth pillow for Dylan when I did. His tooth literally fell out of his mouth today and he didn't even know it happened. Dawson had to tell him he was bleeding everywhere. I though he swallowed it.
What a little trooper he was for loosing his first tooth! He wasn't even scared of all the blood, he just kept looking in the mirror at this huge hole.
I finally found the tooth on the floor in his bedroom. He ran and got the pillow and told me he wanted to go to sleep. ( it was 6:30 )
So he is all tucked in and ready for the tooth fairy to get here.
What a day!
